Pray for the Lapierre in Haiti

Please read Maurice’s recent prayer letter from Haiti and pray for the Lapierre’s ministering in Haiti:

Dear Pastors and Brethren, greetings!

We blessed the LORD as always, and we thank him on your behalf my Brethren. As time passes by, and as we’re getting older, God in his intimacy reveals more unto us for his name’s sake and for his work’s sake that we might be able to do his bidding. His will and his fear are the main thing in life Christians should fight to have and maintain.

While we have been waiting for the capital to be normal to go back to; as we’ve said before, we taught in a Bible school for three years in to around 20 pastors 3 days a week, they are graduated a few months ago. The Majority of them have their own churches. I did send the pictures. The church we’re helping goes to evangelization every other Sunday. Now we can say that the generation is deteriorated fast. The actions of folks are terrible. We believe the next ten years (if it will be that long)will be the last trial that Christians will withstand with their last effort to be able to do something for the glory of God.

The list of folks to pray for is somewhat long, but the influential ones who might help others to come to the Lord, are: Lawyer Mario, journalist Marc, Cassamajor, and maestro August. These folks appreciate us so, but pray that the Lord would use us to help them get save. I’ve been praying for the Lord to show mercy on these folks in here, because their blindness and punishments are long, and because I’ve seen too much and get involved in so many people’s lives which helps me to understand their pain and their suffering. The best way to evangelize to the people in here is to talk to them one on one. They always like this kind of approach; even thought we learned now that things take a turn to the worst regarding security. We need to be very careful in what we do because folks are being sold to terrorism and the youths are dying like flies; either the police kill them or they kill the police, they get involved with the gangs at a younger age than 16 to 20 years of age. That makes me to understand the prophet Jeremiah and his lamentations, and I also pray for my own heart in this inhuman situation. I can tell you your prayers preserved us very much so. I am in a land where human lives have no values. Some preferred to die than to live. Fearfulness has taking away their hope to live. Folks robbed us also and some others tried to do the same, but we have to forgive and go forward. We try to stand in our post even between good and bad, because we believe in the mercies of God on the poor and needy. I’ve studied many stories from western to Haiti to Africa; I never thought I would be in the midst of genocide, even though we find that in the Bible. Finally Jeremiah said to God, “Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? Wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail?” (Jer. 15:18). Because he did not expect to see what he saw, folks were drifting far away from God, and their punishments were very sore. When Moses returned to God after his first talk with Pharaoh, he said “LORD, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? Why is it that thou hast sent me?” (Exo. 5:22,23). We know which and how many countries and folks that are done this evil against this country; but we do not know for sure when God will show mercy on these people and reverse their situation. And that’s why we’re begged constant prayer; please continue to pray for revival of Haiti.

The voodoo practitioners used to be a little reserve about running for office; even thought they would reveal it afterward. They used to hide this part. But right now, they’re so bold, even the well known voodooists are running for office openly. Them that are always bad mouthing Christianity and Christians, we begged you to really pray that the Lord might show up and save the rest that are left, that the voodooists and the gays and the lesbians don’t turn us to ashes. We’re not afraid but we need help to fight. Those who also can help in this fashion: we have a24 hour fast and prayer every Tuesday around 3:30 pm to Wednesday around 3:30 pm. We pray that God can show up in this place and change the situation. May God be always with you.

In the ultimate most powerful Jesus Christ my Savior, I will stand upon my watch… (Hab. 2:1).

In His love in grace
