Pray for Alex Brown

Alex Brown, one of CJ’s former roommates at Sloan, is not doing well. The family lives in Georgia and might be saved. Please pray for mercy and salvation! You can read his mom Kim’s update below:

Ok now that I have gotten over my broken heart (ok, no I really haven’t), I came to say that yesterday was not a very good day. Alex had scans for the first time since his stroke. I was very nervous because he has been off all treatments since around sometime in November to prepare for radiation.  Being off treatment makes me very nervous with this beast that he is fighting. And for good reason. Well it was confirmed that his cancer has metastasised all over like wild fire. There are not a lot of options at this time. Without treatment, he’s looking at weeks to three months. There is a chemo (which he has decided to take) that can give some more time but it is also a ticking bomb as well because his liver and kidneys are in failure and because his platelets are so low it increases his chances of having a brain bleed. Our only hope and option is giving everything to God and let him guide the way.

We have asked Alex if there is anything he wants to do and he has decided he wants to go to England. We were trying to plan a trip in May for a wedding but have decided to go sooner. So I will be working on that trip. We are gonna do everything in our power to make whatever time he has left on this earth for him to live life to the fullest.  We don’t want sad gloomy days, we want joy and celebration for the remarkable son that he is.

I know our God is a waymaker and miracle worker and we need that right now more that ever.  Just please keep Alex in your prayers. We appreciate all the cards and prayers everyone has sent the last four years, but please keep those prayers going.”
