About the Event
Join us for a special day of fellowship and encouragement as we explore the remarkable life and testimony of Fanny Crosby through her autobiography.
Though Fanny Crosby lived most of her life without physical sight, her faith was fixed on the things that could not be seen. As we read her story, we’ll discover how God used her life, her trials, and her extraordinary gift for writing hymns to encourage generations of believers to keep their eyes on Christ.
“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18
Everyone who signs up will receive a copy of Fanny Crosby’s autobiography, which will be handed out at church. Please read the book before the event so you can fully participate in the discussions and get the most out of our time together.
We’ll begin the morning with breakfast and an overview of Fanny Crosby’s life, followed by small group sessions where we’ll take a closer look at the lessons of faith, joy, and spiritual vision found throughout her story. We’ll close our time together with a meaningful craft.
It’s sure to be a wonderful day of fellowship, and encouragement as we learn from a woman who could not see the world around her, yet spent her life “looking…at the things which are not seen.”
